It’s the Fresno Art Museum’s Standards-Based Professional Development Program

for Educators. . . or anyone who wants to be ArtSmart!
(Developed by FAM through generous grants from the Bonner Family Foundation)
Key Benefits of the Program:
• Discover art in a whole new way.
• Teachers will learn innovative and exciting ways to incorporate art into core curriculum.
• Learn techniques to teach students the basic elements of art.
• Gain confidence in viewing, understanding , and discussing art.

All sessions taught by Dr. Terry Allen (host of PBS series, “Art Is”)
Participants receive 16 hours of instruction, all materials, and a lesson plan CD.

Seminars are fun, lively, eye opening, informative and guaranteed to bring out your creativity! Most importantly, participants do not need to be artists to benefit from this program. At the end of the 16 hours, classroom teachers will have everything they need to introduce art into their classroom and improve student performance. Artists will have a new incite into possibilities. If you’re neither a professional teacher nor an artist, you will leave with a whole new understanding and appreciation of art and art processes that you can share with your own children or use to kick-start your own creative endeavors.

* Includes $50 credit towards:
o A two year Museum Membership for a single student, educator, or retired person (62 & over) OR
o An individual (non-educator) Museum Membership for one year, OR
o A student, educator, or retired couple Museum Membership for one year.
o Or $50 may also be used as credit towards an annual Family Membership level or above.
Non-Museum Members please complete Membership Application in this packet and choose level and provide name of spouse and/or children, if applicable.
